Born in Reykjavik 1959. Graduated as Cand. jur. from the University of Iceland 1984. District Court Attorney 1986 and a Supreme Court Attorney since 1992.

Parallel with his studies Ólafur was the manager of Habitat in Iceland, from 1983 to 1984. Associate at the law firm of “Gísli Baldur Garđarsson hrl.” from 1984-1985.  From that time he ran his own law firm with “Jóhann Pétur Sveinsson” until 1994 when “Jóhann Pétur” passed away.  After that he ran a law firm with “Jóhannes Albert Sćvarson hrl.” until January 2002 when “Lögmenn Seltjarnarnesi” merged with Reykjavik Law Firm.  In the fall of 1997 Ólafur became qualified as a FIFA agent of football players.  A member of the law Committee of the Icelandic Bar Association for several years.
